南大生刺伤副教授后坠楼身死，短短5天后，死者的一名同系学长，昨晚被发现吊死校园宿舍内！
南大校园又发生惊人命案，而且出现令人意想不到的巧合。
星期一上午，21岁的电机与电子工程系四年级学生黄必明，在刺伤副教授陈及鹿后坠楼惨死，事件震惊校园。
没想到全校师生正为这起命案感到难过之际，昨晚校园又传出命案。
一名24岁的南大毕业生，被发现吊死在南洋岭（Nanyang Heights)的教职员宿舍4楼的阳台上。
巧的是，死者也是电机与电子工程系的学生，是黄必明的同系学长。他毕业后在资讯工程科内担任资讯通信企划人员（Infocomm Project Officer)，住在宿舍里。
室友报警惊呼：我朋友 吊死了
室友惊见死者吊死在宿舍阳台上，报警时惊呼：“我的朋友吊死了！”
据《联合晚报》了解，向警方报案的是死者的室友，他发现死者吊在4楼的阳台上，当场被吓坏了，慌乱中赶紧将死者抱下后，却发现他的身体已经冰冷，完全没有气息，立即拨电报警求救。
据悉，死者是用一条黑色的手提袋带子上吊，警方在现场找到一封遗书。
死者的亲属已接获通知，并将在近期内从中国飞过来办理手续。
南大发言人说，校方对这起事件深表遗憾，并且已安排专业的辅导员，为受到这起事件影响的人提供适当的支持与援助。出事前经常烧冥纸拜拜
死者出事前，经常在宿舍门口烧冥纸拜拜，引起其他住户的注意。
《联合晚报》记者今早走访宿舍时，一对外国夫妻说，他们虽然不认识死者，不过他有印象。
“住在那个单位的住户，总是把门开着，我们时常看见华族住户在门口焚烧冥纸和拜拜，所以有印象。”
据记者了解，死者的宿舍内共有两个房间，死者生前是和一名同样来自中国的室友同住。
出事的职员宿舍，主要是给教授及家属，以及其他南大教职员居住，只有一小部分的低楼层房间，是供给毕业生或研究生居住。
整栋楼共有12层楼高，每一层楼大约2至3个房间，整栋楼可住上近100人。
有住户表示，那里就像个小“联合国”，住户来自中国、印度及欧洲各地。住户通常只住上一年就搬走，因此彼此并不熟络。

NTU sees second suspected suicide case in one week

SINGAPORE: A man from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has been found dead in his apartment unit on the campus.
24-year-old Zhou Zheng was found hanging from the balcony of his apartment at Block 101C Nanyang Heights, where staff and graduate students reside.
Police said Saturday they received a call at around 10.30pm on Friday night and when they arrived, the body had already been brought down to the floor.
The man was pronounced dead at 10.55 pm.
Zhou, from Hubei, China, graduated with a Second Class Upper Honours from the NTU’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in July last year.
He started work with a company right after graduation but was laid off two months later.
After looking for a job for several months, he joined NTU as an infocomm project officer at the university's School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering on March 2.
In a statement released Saturday, NTU said professional counsellors and senior university officers were activated on site to offer support.
The man's parents has since been notified.
NTU has also found temporary accommodation for Zhou’s flatmates.
When news radio team 938LIVE visited the area shortly after midnight, there were hardly any signs of disturbance.
Those who 938LIVE spoke to said the residents there kept mostly to themselves, and hardly interacted with one another.
NTU's president Su Guaning said they are deeply saddened by the loss.
This is the university's second suspected suicide case in less than a week.
Both involved men were from the university's School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
On Monday, a 21-year-old Indonesian undergraduate was believed to have slit his wrists and jumped to his death after allegedly stabbing his professor on campus.
