1am. return after having a cup of coffee with friends. Suddenly something crossed my mind, so I decide to write it out (†.†)"
Why so many girls being cheated by guys through irc/msn/icq/any friends making website/forum ??
Girls, are not stupid at all, they know what may befall on them.. However, most of the cheaters are very good in convincing the girls that how "GENTLEMEN" they are, how they "MISS" the girls, how they want to see the "ANGEL" in their life.. They can keep msg them, telling them they just come out for a cup of tea, to meet up together, wont be that long, can bring ur friends together, meet up @ public place.. and BLA BLA BLA.. I will say, dont give them a shit!
After a very long "persuading" and "re-affirming" that they are GENTLEMEN, the girls tend to give away. they may think, just a normal meet up, never eat with them, never go pub with them, and meet up @ public, he also keep telling me that he wants to meet me.. bla bla bla...
But do u know that how danger u may encounter?? (laughing @ my comments? go ahead!)
1st rule.. never drink any drinks that bought by the guy..
Reason, they may able to dupe you, even if it is a can drink.
2nd rule.. never drink the drinks after u went away to washroom/ for a short while..
Reason.. they had the chance to dupe you.
3rd rule... never go with him to any other place..
Reason.. they may lead u to a remote area or some place that they can kidnap you or harm u..
4th rule.. never go alone...
reason.. Most of ur friend will be very wary of them, just the victim always get carried away and didn't beware of the danger..
5th rule... Never meet up @ night time..
reason.. they can just say they want to send u home (they insist- due to it is TOO LATE, and dangerous for a girl to return home that late) .. if u give in.. u may end up in trouble...
6th rule.. never meet up near ur living /working place
reason.. they can easily follow ur daily routines and plan for the prey...
7th rule.. insist of going home ALONE IMMEDIATELY when u feel dizzy/ uncomfortable..
reason.. they may spray some aroma smell that makes u blur and start listening to them (or just too weak to resist them when they claim they are ur friends and want to send you home.)
Yes, they are still honest and kind gentlemen exist in this world.. I will say billions of CONGRATULATIONS for meeting another kind soul in the world.. However, the chances that you meet them are slimmer than you think. instead of giving urself away for the damn + fking cheaters/rapists, why not distancing urself away from all the possible jerks???
*PS* if u are going to PUB, after returning from the dancing floor.. ur drinks may end up being dupe as well.. so becareful of all these.. there is significant increase of jerks in this world..... Even if u are mature enough, u may become one of their prey as well.. Dont think that u are mature and wont be cheated on this.. *DUH!*

向自我宣战
世间最大的敌人，不是别人，而是自己。敌人躲藏在我们的心里，在我们的思想
中，我们掩护自己的敌人，不容易发觉；自己的思想上、心灵里，恶的不除，要想解
脱自在，非常困难。
敌人的主帅，就是我执，贪瞋痴慢疑是他们的五大集团，心是司令。向自我挑战，没
有厚实的本钱，要达到胜利的目标，并不容易；就是一个有为的修行人，要与八万四
千烦恼魔军作战，想要凯旋而归，谈何容易。一般人把八万四千的魔军完全隐藏在心
里，成为隐形的军队；要向他们宣战，先要认识这些魔军的本来面目，了解后才好把
他们歼灭。这些魔军的面目是什么呢？
一、自私：自私就是我执，凡事只想自己，不想别人，我的财富，我的家人，我的想
法，我的所有，这许多的雕堡，牢固不移，所以要有「天下为公」的思想来打破自私
的观念，并不容易。但是一个人有没有人格道德，就看他被囚在自私的罗网里，如果
还能念念有人、有你、有他；心中有道德、善良、因果，则他的自私就已经有所松
动，只要再加把劲，克服私心、私念、私情，就不为难了。
二、欲望：人生对「财色名食睡」的五欲，也是「望欲兴叹」，无可奈何，所以人都
做了欲望的奴隶。金钱，人之所欲也，谁又不做金钱的奴隶呢？名位，人之所欲
也，谁又不做名位的奴隶呢？爱情，人之所欲也，谁又不做爱情的奴隶呢？衣食，人
之所欲也，谁又不做衣食的奴隶呢？欲望本来也不一定完全不好，除了染污的欲望应
该排除之外，善法的欲望也可以让他增长，例如孝养父母，报效国家，慈济社会，增
益全民，只是具有这种善法欲的人，为数不多了。
三、嫉恨：人心里的恶念，多如牛毛，但是举其大者，嫉恨是最坏的恶念。妒人所
有，妒人胜己，所有好者、善者，他一概不喜，总要去之而后快，这是人性最可耻的
劣根性。恨心也是最大的过失，好事他想成坏事，嫉恨的火能烧毁一切善事，吴三桂
将军一怒为红颜，不是嫉心毁灭了大明江山吗？嫉恨是毒蛇，当人遇到嫉恨，很难逃
过一劫。
四、懒惰：人应该向自我宣战的敌人很多，无明、愚痴、懈怠、无耻、无愧，尤其懒
惰最为可怕。阿那律只是在法会上打了一个瞌睡，佛陀就呵斥他「咄咄汝好睡，螺蛳
蚌蛤内，一睡一千年，不闻佛名字。」可见懒惰之罪重矣。
《百喻经》里有一个故事说：太太为懒惰的先生做了一个圆圈饼，挂在他的颈上，自
己回娘家探亲。一去数天后回家，丈夫已经饿死了，因为他只吃前面的饼，懒得把后
面的转过来送到嘴里。一个家庭里，家人都懒惰，家里贫穷；社会上的人都懒惰，社
会落伍；国家都养一群懒惰的人，则国不成国，市不成市。
向自我宣战，我们只晓得消灭敌人，不晓得自己才是自己最大的敌人；把自己的敌人
统统消灭，还给我们一个清净健全的菩萨人生，那才是值得欢呼的最大胜利。

Seven New Wonders being named
ISBON (AFP) - - Seven "new" wonders of the world including the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal and the Colosseum in Rome were chosen overnight by nearly 100 million Internet and phone voters, upsetting purists.
The other wonders named were the centuries-old pink ruins of Petra in Jordan, the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru, and the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza in Mexico.
British actor Ben Kingsley and US actress Hillary Swank hosted the celebrity-studded ceremony at Lisbon's Stadium of Light, broadcast in more than 170 countries to an estimated 1.6 billion viewers.

Tinnitus 耳鸣
I took MC on monday, once again.. This time was attacked by tinnitus.. It has been living together with me since I was 12 yrs old... the most painful period was over.. However, it still comes back to haunt me occasionally... The doctor wanted to refer me to private specialist, which may cost me a bomb!. So, I rejected the offer. I may go to polyclicnic, asked for referral letter and go to government hospital for thorough check up and treatment (if not too expensive!!!!)
It happened during early in the morning, (in fact, shd be 4.xx am).. I was awaken by the pain... felt like someone was using a sharp thing to prick into my ear fast, fiercely and repeatedly. I dont think anyone of you can imagine the pain.. the frustration.. and the depression I suffered on that morning... You may just hope that you can tear off your ear...
Tinnitus refers to persistent ‘ringing’ or ‘whooshing’ noises in one or both ears and is reported to occur in about 10% of the population. Most commonly it is perceived at night time when there is less interference from background noise. However, it can be disabling for some individuals and cause other problems such as concentration difficulties, depression, stress, insomnia and anxiety. Tinnitus can be caused by inner ear damage from exposure to loud noise, head trauma, infection or blood flow disturbances. It can also occur due to other disturbances in brain or brainstem function and due to spinal subluxation. Despite being such a prevalent condition, patients with tinnitus are often told that there is no treatment available for their problem.

What is tinnitus?
Tinnitus is a ringing, swishing, or other type of noise that seems to originate in the ear or head. In many cases it is not a serious problem, but rather a nuisance that may in time go away. It is not a single disease, but a symptom of an underlying condition. Nearly 36 million Americans suffer from this disorder. In almost all cases, only the patient can hear the noise.
What causes tinnitus?
Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain. Some tinnitus or head noise is normal. If for example, one goes into a sound proof booth and normal outside noise is diminished, one becomes aware of these normal sounds. We are usually not aware of these normal body sounds, because outside noise "masks" them. Anything, such as wax or a foreign body in the external ear, that blocks these background sounds will cause us to be more aware of our own head sounds. Fluid, infection, or disease of the middle ear bones or ear drum (tympanic membrane) can also cause tinnitus.
One of the most common causes of tinnitus is damage to the microscopic endings of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. Advancing age is generally accompanied by a certain amount of hearing nerve impairment, and consequently tinnitus. Loud noise exposure is a very common cause of tinnitus today, and it often damages hearing as well. Unfortunately, many people are unconcerned about the harmful effects of excessively loud noise, firearms, and high intensity music. Some medications (aspirin, for example) and other diseases of the inner ear (Meniere's syndrome) can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus can in rare situations be a symptom of such serious problems as an aneurysm or a brain tumor (acoustic tumor).
How is tinnitus evaluated?
A medical history, physical examination, and a series of special tests can help determine precisely where the tinnitus is originating. It is helpful for the doctor to know if the tinnitus is constant, intermittent or pulsating (synchronous with the heart beat), or is it associated with hearing loss or loss of balance (vertigo). At the very least, all patients with persisting unexplained tinnitus need a careful hearing test (audiogram). Certain patterns of hearing loss may lead the doctor to the diagnosis.
Other tests, such as the auditory brain stem response (ABR), a computerized test of the hearing nerves and brain pathways, computer tomography (CT) or, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) may be needed to rule out a tumor occurring on the hearing or balance nerve. These tumors are rare, but they can cause tinnitus.
What is the treatment of tinnitus?
After a careful evaluation, your doctor may find an identifiable cause and be able to treat or make recommendations to treat the tinnitus. Once you have had a thorough evaluation, an essential part of treatment is your own understanding of the tinnitus, i.e., what has caused it, and your options for treatment.
In many cases, there is no specific treatment for tinnitus. It may simply go away on its own, or it may be a permanent disability that the patient will have to "live with." Some otolaryngologists have recommended niacin to treat tinnitus. However, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that niacin helps reduce tinnitus, and it may cause problems with skin flushing.
Is there anything to do to lessen intensity of the tinnitus?
It is important to realize that the hearing system is one of the most delicate and sensitive mechanisms in the body. Since it is a part of the general nervous system, it is sensitive, to some degree, by anything that affects the overall health of the individual (both physical and psychological). Therefore, in order to lessen the intensity of tinnitus, it is advisable to make every effort to:
Avoid exposure to loud sounds and noises.
Control blood pressure.
Decrease salt intake.
Avoid nerve stimulants such as coffee and colas (caffeine) and tobacco (nicotine).
Reduce anxiety.
Try to stop worrying about the tinnitus. Often times, the more you worry and concentrate on the noise, the louder it will become.
Get adequate rest and avoid fatigue.
Exercise.
Utilize masking noise. Tinnitus is usually more bothersome when the surroundings are quiet, especially when you are in bed. A competing sound such as a ticking clock or a radio may help mask tinnitus. Small hearing aid like devices which generate a competitive sound may help reduce the awareness of the tinnitus.
Biofeedback may help or diminish tinnitus in some patients.
Hearing aids may help some patients with hearing loss and tinnitus. However a trial before purchase is advisable.
Avoid aspirin or aspirin products.

What is tinnitus?
Tinnitus is a ringing, swishing, or other type of noise that seems to originate in the ear or head. In many cases it is not a serious problem, but rather a nuisance that may in time go away. It is not a single disease, but a symptom of an underlying condition. Nearly 36 million Americans suffer from this disorder. In almost all cases, only the patient can hear the noise.
What causes tinnitus?
Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain. Some tinnitus or head noise is normal. If for example, one goes into a sound proof booth and normal outside noise is diminished, one becomes aware of these normal sounds. We are usually not aware of these normal body sounds, because outside noise "masks" them. Anything, such as wax or a foreign body in the external ear, that blocks these background sounds will cause us to be more aware of our own head sounds. Fluid, infection, or disease of the middle ear bones or ear drum (tympanic membrane) can also cause tinnitus.
One of the most common causes of tinnitus is damage to the microscopic endings of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. Advancing age is generally accompanied by a certain amount of hearing nerve impairment, and consequently tinnitus. Loud noise exposure is a very common cause of tinnitus today, and it often damages hearing as well. Unfortunately, many people are unconcerned about the harmful effects of excessively loud noise, firearms, and high intensity music. Some medications (aspirin, for example) and other diseases of the inner ear (Meniere's syndrome) can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus can in rare situations be a symptom of such serious problems as an aneurysm or a brain tumor (acoustic tumor).
How is tinnitus evaluated?
A medical history, physical examination, and a series of special tests can help determine precisely where the tinnitus is originating. It is helpful for the doctor to know if the tinnitus is constant, intermittent or pulsating (synchronous with the heart beat), or is it associated with hearing loss or loss of balance (vertigo). At the very least, all patients with persisting unexplained tinnitus need a careful hearing test (audiogram). Certain patterns of hearing loss may lead the doctor to the diagnosis.
Other tests, such as the auditory brain stem response (ABR), a computerized test of the hearing nerves and brain pathways, computer tomography (CT) or, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) may be needed to rule out a tumor occurring on the hearing or balance nerve. These tumors are rare, but they can cause tinnitus.
What is the treatment of tinnitus?
After a careful evaluation, your doctor may find an identifiable cause and be able to treat or make recommendations to treat the tinnitus. Once you have had a thorough evaluation, an essential part of treatment is your own understanding of the tinnitus, i.e., what has caused it, and your options for treatment.
In many cases, there is no specific treatment for tinnitus. It may simply go away on its own, or it may be a permanent disability that the patient will have to "live with." Some otolaryngologists have recommended niacin to treat tinnitus. However, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that niacin helps reduce tinnitus, and it may cause problems with skin flushing.
Is there anything to do to lessen intensity of the tinnitus?
It is important to realize that the hearing system is one of the most delicate and sensitive mechanisms in the body. Since it is a part of the general nervous system, it is sensitive, to some degree, by anything that affects the overall health of the individual (both physical and psychological). Therefore, in order to lessen the intensity of tinnitus, it is advisable to make every effort to:
Avoid exposure to loud sounds and noises.
Control blood pressure.
Decrease salt intake.
Avoid nerve stimulants such as coffee and colas (caffeine) and tobacco (nicotine).
Reduce anxiety.
Try to stop worrying about the tinnitus. Often times, the more you worry and concentrate on the noise, the louder it will become.
Get adequate rest and avoid fatigue.
Exercise.
Utilize masking noise. Tinnitus is usually more bothersome when the surroundings are quiet, especially when you are in bed. A competing sound such as a ticking clock or a radio may help mask tinnitus. Small hearing aid like devices which generate a competitive sound may help reduce the awareness of the tinnitus.
Biofeedback may help or diminish tinnitus in some patients.
Hearing aids may help some patients with hearing loss and tinnitus. However a trial before purchase is advisable.
Avoid aspirin or aspirin products.

Doctor: We found this in daniel's ocket
Jasmine reads the letter and it says:
Jasmine, This past few days, i realized you are a really cute girl and i am really falling for you..Your cherished.... smile you were everything when we played this game..... Before this game would end...I would like you to be my girlfriend for the rest of my life.... I love you Jasmine....
Jasmine crumples the paper and shouted:
"Daniel ! i don't want you to die... I love you...Remember that night when we saw a meteor, I mumbled something... I mumbled that I wish we would be together forever and never end this game. Please don't leave me Daniel.... I love you! You cannot do this to me!"

What is Gout?
Gout is one of the oldest disorders known to Man. It is a disease in which certain chemical processes of the body are impaired resulting in the build up of too much uric acid. Gout is characterised by sudden attacks of extremely painful, swollen, hot joints.
What Causes Gout?
Almost all people with gout have hyperuricaemia (too much uric acid in the blood). However not everyone with hyperuricaemia has gout. Uric acid is a normal waste product from the breakdown of purines. Purines are found in most foods but some foods are much richer in purine content. Uric acid is normally dissolved in blood and removed through the kidneys. Hyperuricaemia is the result of either the body producing too much uric acid or the kidneys not clearing it fast enough.
In people with gout, uric acid changes into crystals which are deposited in joints and other tissues. Such deposit of uric acid crystals is called a tophus. The crystal deposit in the joint irritates the synovium (joint lining) resulting in inflammation. The joint becomes painful, swollen, red and hot. This is called an acute attack of gout.
Who Gets Gout?
Hyperuricaemia and gout can be inherited. It can also occur as a complication of other conditions such as kidney damage, leukaemia. Some drugs can cause hyperuricaemia. Diuretics (drugs used to reduce excess fluid or control blood pressure) are one such group of drugs frequently found to cause gout in the elderly.
The majority of gout sufferers are men over 40 years old. Women usually have gout after menopause. In the past, gout was thought to be a disease associated with "high living". It is now known that it can occur in people from all walks of life.

eating too much
extreme dieting
surgery

Uric acid crystals can form stones in the kidney and its collecting system, the tube connecting the kidney to the bladder (ureter) and in the bladder. These stones can cause pain (colic) but more importantly, they can cause kidney damage through repeated infection or obstruction to the flow of urine. Factors that predispose to stones are:
a diet rich in purines
not drinking sufficient fluids
having a very acid urine
How is Gout Diagnosed?
Your doctor will ask you to describe the onset and nature of your joint pain. He/she will also look for tophi deposited under the skin. Blood will be sent for uric acid measurement. Colchicine is the oldest drug used in the treatment of gout. It gives prompt relief when taken at the first sign of an attack. It is less effective if taken after the attack has been present for more than two days. When used to stop an acute attack, it is taken hourly until the pain has resolved, the person experiences side effects or the maximum dose is reached. Your doctor will give you clear instructions on its use. Colchicine can also be taken daily in a much smaller dose to prevent further attacks of gout. The common side effects of colchicine are diarrhoea, nausea and abdominal cramps.
NSAIDs such as indomethacin can be used during an acute attack of gout. Like colchicine, these drugs are sometimes used to prevent an acute attack of gout when a person is first started on allopurinol or a uricosuric drug.
Steroids given by mouth or by injection into the affected joint can give relief during an acute attack as they are also anti-inflammatory in action.
