宏茂桥谋杀案——疑推女友下楼 烧焊工跟着跳
烧焊工疑推女友下楼后，自己也跟着坠下受重伤，今早在医院被控谋杀罪。
这起罕见的谋杀案，发生在昨天凌晨1时53分，地点在宏茂桥3道第565座组屋。
死者是一名马来西亚籍女子钟嘉恩（20岁），她从组屋12楼坠下身亡。与她同时坠楼的马来西亚籍男子陈德顺（译音，19岁），则受重伤送院。他随后被捕，今早被控谋杀。
据了解，陈德顺工作的建筑与烧焊公司位于后港一带。死者则在碧山的煮炒摊工作。
民防发言人受询时表示，死者当场宣告死亡，被告则是右盆骨骨折及右手臂骨折，在清醒的情况下，被送往陈笃生医院。
坠楼前挣扎 男压女尸体
女居民的朋友案发后到现场查看，发现女死者脸朝下趴在地上，流血不止，一动也不动。男被告则压在女死者的身上，相信因此伤势才较轻。
记者现场发现，在组屋11楼和12楼的楼梯口墙壁上，都有一些浅褐色的痕迹，还有一些看似手印的痕迹。由于11楼的电梯井正在翻新，因此电梯井外面围了铁片，铁片上也有不少手印。警方仔细调查那些痕迹，因此相信痕迹可能是男女留下的。
一般相信男女乘电梯到11楼，再从11楼走上12楼。
12楼坠楼地点有一些凌乱的鞋印，相信男女曾在那里起冲突。该处的组屋外墙也有浅褐色痕迹，围观者纷纷猜测，也许其中一人曾吊在半空，挣扎一段时间后才坠下。
撞弯铁板 断颈惨死
案发组屋的电梯正在翻新，因此组屋楼下是个工地，在二楼的高度摆着一些给工人站的铁板。
目击者描述，死者坠下时，在一楼撞到铁板，由于猛烈的撞击力，2片铁板和一支铁条被撞得弯曲不成形。
据知，死者跌断了颈项，头部往一边歪斜，坠楼地点也留下大滩血迹。
据现场消息，女死者身上有多处伤势，死者似乎曾遭人殴打。
男女是在一间空置的组屋外起争执坠楼。居民说，该组屋因为买到新屋子，一个月前已经搬走。死者貌美如花 被告其貌不扬
死者有模特儿的身材及面孔，但被告却长得长得其貌不扬，根本配不上死者。
死者干爹说，被告认识死者不久。
在最近一周内，被告接死者放工三四次，死者也曾说被告在追自己。
但是干爹认为，她应该等自己经济稳定才谈恋爱，而且被告似乎为人吊儿郎当，也不跟别人打招呼，大家对他的印象都很不好。
他曾劝死者不要跟被告在一起，但被告以死缠烂打的方式追她，两个人感情发展得很快。

Man arrested for murder at Ang Mo Kio Ave 3

SINGAPORE: Police are investigating the murder of 21-year-old Chong Kar Yin, a Malaysian woman who was found dead at the foot of Blk 565 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3.
The body of Ms Chong was found lying motionless on the ground at the construction area in front of the block early Saturday morning.
She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
An injured man was also found lying inside the construction area.
The 20-year-old Malaysian was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
He was arrested and would be charged for murder on Sunday.

M'sian woman found dead at Ang Mo Kio was cheerful person, say colleagues

SINGAPORE: 21-year-old Chong Kar Yan, who fell to her death on Saturday morning at Block 565 at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, was described by colleagues as a cheerful person.
They are puzzled over news of her death as she's been happy with her new workplace.
Originally from Ipoh, Malaysia, Ms Chong has been working here for over two years.
Speaking to 938LIVE, colleagues of Ms Chong confirmed she started working just three weeks ago, as a helper at a coffee shop along Bishan Street 12.
One colleague, 62-year-old Ms Chen Hai Hua remembers her fondly.
She said: "She's very nice, dresses well, and is also polite. She’s affectionate, cheerful and even calls me grandmother... I'm saddened to learn of her death. I didn't even know about it till I heard from my colleagues."
Another colleague, 45-year-old Mr Lam who treated the deceased as a god-daughter said she's responsible and well-liked.
He recalls their last conversation on Friday night.
"She said she was happy working here and said goodbye to everyone. I found it strange and wanted to ask her why. But she just left in a rush," he said.
Mr Lam noticed that a fellow Malaysian, 19-year-old Tan Teck Soon has been trying to woo Ms Chong.
He said Mr Tan who works at a construction company in the Hougang area, would wait for her work to end before leaving together around 11pm on his motorbike.
But Mr Lam didn't think that they were a good match.
Ms Chong was believed to have fallen from the 12th floor of the block.
Mr Tan fell shortly after.
He survived the fall and is currently in Tan Tock Seng Hospital for his injuries.
He's believed to have caused her death and has since been charged for murder. - 938LIVE/vm
